The Delhi Capitals will face the Gujarat Titans in the 40th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). The match will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on April 24th at 7:30 PM IST. 

After an average start to the tournament, the Delhi Capitals seemingly got back to rhythm with a couple of good wins. In the only game that has been played here, the wicket at the Arun Jaitley Stadium looked good for batting. The Capitals will look to make the most of their home ground and complete a double over the Titans. The GT batting line-up has seemingly struggled a bit, and it would be the perfect opportunity for the Capitals to take advantage of that.

The 22-year-old Australian batter has looked very impressive with the bat in IPL 2024. Jake Fraser-McGurk has played an aggressive brand of cricket, adding to the impact of the runs he scored for the Capitals. 

In three matches, McGurk scored 140 runs at a strike rate of 222.20. Given how the wicket behaved in the first game and his batting order, McGurk will undoubtedly play a vital role in this game for the Capitals. 

Axar Patel

The Indian all-rounder has had an average IPL 2024 so far. However, Axar Patel enjoys playing at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, which will give him confidence going into this game. 

In the 18 innings he has played in IPL at the venue, Axar has scored 363 runs at an average of 36.3 and a strike rate of 133.5. He has also done a decent job with the ball in hand. Axar has bowled 61.5 overs at the venue and has picked up 13 wickets in them while having an economy of 6.16. The numbers suggest he can leave an all-round impact in this game against the Titans.

David Warner

This veteran Australian is considered the best-ever overseas player in the IPL. But IPL 2024 has been a hot and cold season for him. In seven games, David Warner has scored 167 runs at an average of 23.86, which is below par by his standards. 

At the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Warner has scored 1,133 runs in 39 innings at an average of 33.3 and 126.3. The numbers are not outstanding, but he is due for a big one, and his numbers suggest that he has done decently at the venue. So, we can expect Warner to emerge as the match-winner for the Capitals.
