Shubman Gill, widely regarded as the prince of Indian cricket, was first noticed by the scouts during a U-16 tournament wherein he hit a triple century for Mohali against Amritsar in an ML Markan Trophy in 2014.

Shubman Gill, the talented Indian cricketer known for his elegant batting style and solid technique, first grabbed the nation's attention with a remarkable achievement during his U-16 days. It was a moment that showcased his precocious talent and hinted at the promising career that lay ahead.

Gill was a mere 16 years old in 2014 when he was leading the Mohali U16 team in the M L Markan Trophy. His side was up against Amritsar at the MCM Ground in Mohali for a 3-day Test.

By the end of the game, Gill had 351 runs to his name, whereas his partner ended up with 231 as the explosive duo set up 587 runs on board for the first innings.
