India's only defeat in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022 has some fans worried about their progress in the tournament. Team India, who are yet to produce clinical cricket, are placed second in the Super 12 Stage Group 2, behind South Africa.

India faces Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in their final two-stage matches, and a loss here could spell doom for the Rohit Sharma-led side. While the side has glaring weaknesses, many former players and critics are backing the Men in Blue to reach the semi-finals and beyond.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly, too, agrees. As per Hindustan Times, speaking at the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) AGM, the former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed he expects India to reach the final.

Ganguly on Team India

"India only lost one match. India will qualify. Everyone is doing good. India will qualify, I hope. I am hopeful that India will play finals. Let them qualify, after that they will play last two games. That can be anyone's game."

India plays Bangladesh on November 2 and Zimbabwe on November 6.
