It was a tough loss for the Delhi Capitals (DC) who weren't able to stop the high-flying Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after posting 162 on the board. Delhi skipper David Warner has spoken on what went wrong for them in the second consecutive game.

Talking about the conditions, Warner said that the ball was doing way too much early on in the innings which made batting a little more difficult for them as they lost wickets quickly in the powerplay.

Moreover, he applauded the lower order of the side for the way they batted, adding that it is a big learning for them.

"I don’t think I was surprised by it but the ball was swinging a lot upfront. Losing three wickets in the powerplay was always going to be a struggle. But the way the lower order batted is a learning for us. We have got six games here and we have to learn from our mistakes,"

Further, the Australian batter praised his bowlers along with the opposition batters Sai Sudarshan and David Miller for taking the game away from them. In the end, he revealed the major reason for the absence of Axar Patel with the ball mentioning that it was because of match-ups and the kind of pitch that forced them to take this decision.

"The bowlers bowled extremely well. Sai came out and played extremely well. Miller also did his thing. Axar didn’t get to bowl tonight because of the wicket and the matchups. Kuldeep bowled because of his wrong’uns and Marsh also did a good job."

Warner's Delhi Capitals will next be seen facing Rajasthan Royals on 8th April in a bid to earn their first points of the season.
