The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a significant development in the world of cricket, particularly in Pakistan. Ahead of the PSL 2024 on February 13th, 2024, the Polo Ground of the Race Course Park in Lahore hosted the unveiling of the 'The Orion Trophy'. 

The event was attended by Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi, franchise owners, HBL representatives, and star cricketers. The trophy is made of pure silver coated in white gold, giving it a prestigious look. Each element of the trophy is coated in white gold it took over 900 hours of non-stop work and the placement of 18,000 stones by hand to create this masterpiece. 

PSL Trophy 2023

The trophy was crafted using sterling silver and adorned with precious stones and gems. It stood tall at 18 inches and weighed almost eight kilograms. The 24-karat Supernova Trophy, produced by Lahore-based Mahfooz Jewellers, was made in Pakistan and represents the country's exceptional craftsmanship. The PSL 8 trophy was disclosed at the historic Shalimar Gardens. 

The trophy's three pillars are studded with 9,907 sparkling zircon stones, representing the national cricket team's motto: Unity, Passion, and Strength.

PSL Trophy 2020-2022

The PCB faced covid-related challenges leading to the use of the same trophy for three consecutive PSL seasons (2020, 2021,2023). The trophy was unveiled by Jahangir Khan, a renowned squash player, at the National Stadium in Karachi, accompanied by PSL franchise owners and captains. 

The trophy was created by Ottewill Silversmiths, a UK-based company, and featured a crescent and star symbolizing Pakistan, along with multicoloured enamel strips representing the country's vibrant culture. 

PSL Trophy 2019

The Pakistan Super League 2019 trophy was exhibited in Dubai. The trophy was unveiled in the presence of all the franchise captains and was named the 'Pakistan Trophy' as it celebrated the diverse cultures of Pakistan and the unity with which they embrace to call their country home.

The trophy was designed by Swarovski and featured more than 50,000 crystals in its design. The central core is covered in 16 faceted Xirius crystals, which raise one by one as a dazzling green beam to showcase the majestic shining star at the pinnacle. The six pillars surrounding the star were adorned with fine stones and arranged in a crescent shape to represent the six participating teams.

The Dubai Cricket Stadium hosted the PSL 3 opening ceremony. The captains of all the six franchises were present at the event where the Swarovski-designed trophy was unveiled. The trophy was a stunning piece of art, adorned with gold.

The trophy was picked up from the Swarovski office and transported to the Me'aisem City Centre via an Uber Chopper that took off from the Atlantis Helipad. The trophy was gold-plated and had a crescent moon and a star embossed on it, which are the national symbols of Pakistan seen on both the country's flag and the emblem of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

The trophy for the PSL 2017, was named the 'Spirit Trophy'. It was designed by Swarovski and encrusted with 50,000 crystals. The trophy was meant to embody Pakistan's hope and aspirations in line with the PSL's vision of cricket. 

At its pinnacle sat the Shooting Star, a multi-faceted crystal sculpture created with precision-cut technology.  The 'Spirit Trophy' was a symbol of the nation's patriotism, inspired by the brilliance of the universe. Its central core was designed to resemble a galaxy of stars, with a shooting star above and a golden crescent behind it.

The trophy for the first season of the PSL 1 was designed by Swarovski and named the 'Shooting Star' trophy. It was a rather simple trophy consisting of three pillars that supported a star at the top, and the pillars were placed on a strong base. The trophy symbolized the launch of PSL and encapsulated the hope and positive spirit of the tournament.

The PSL 1 trophy was unveiled in the presence of captains and officials of all five franchises, which was a dream come true for the Pakistan Cricket Board.
