You don't expect two batters get hit on the box on the same day, do you? However, on Tuesday (May 7), during Rajasthan Royals' IPL 2024 clash against Delhi Capitals, the unthinkable almost happened at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Thankfully, after Jake Fraser-McGurk was at the receiving end earlier, Jos Buttler saved himself by a whisker after Yashasvi Jaiswal's bullet shot almost hit him at the non-striker's end.

Coming to chase a challenging target of 222, Jaiswal faced Khaleel Ahmed to kick off the proceedings. It was full delivery by the left-arm quick, which Jaiswal tried to drive straight to Buttler. Had it not hit Buttler's thigh pad after sudden move, it would have hit the box to bring mixed emotions in the middle of the stadium.

However, neither Buttler nor Jaiswal made an impact in the chase. In their absence, Sanju Samson has been leading by example, scoring 84* off 40 balls to take RR to 157/3 after 14.3 overs. They still need 65 off 33 balls, with seven wickets in hand.
