Ace Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah shone brightly in Mumbai Indians' ongoing IPL 2024 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, as he got the prized scalp of Faf du Plessis when he was set in the middle. 

The incident occurred during the 17th over of RCB's innings when MI skipper Hardik Pandya brought Bumrah back to showcase his death bowling skills. 

The move paid rich dividends for the hosts, with the experienced pacer getting rid of Du Plessis before shocking Mahipal Lomror with a toe-crusher. 

Coming to bowl the 17th over, Bumrah kept things tight initially before dismissing Du Plessis on his fourth delivery. It was a low full toss from Bumrah, as the RCB captain tried to smack it straight down the ground. 

However, unfortunately for RCB, he couldn't get the desired elevation, with Tim David completing a magnificent sliding catch near the long on boundary. 

Bumrah followed it up with a clinical effort, trapping Lomror plumb in front of the stumps with a lethal yorker. 

On a track that had significant assistance for the batters, Bumrah emerged as MI's wrecker-in-chief, completing a spectacular three-fer inside his first three overs. 

As of writing, RCB were struggling to get a fitting finish, placed at 162 for six in 17.5 overs, with Dinesh Karthik and Saurav Chauhan unbeaten in the middle.
