RCB opener Smriti Mandhana blazed her way to a 32-ball half-century against Delhi Capitals Women at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Leading her side in match number seven of the ongoing WPL 2024 season, the elegant left-hander bashed a couple of huge sixes inside the opening powerplay, and shared a rapid 77-run stand with New Zealand-based partner Sophie Devine for the first wicket.

The innings marked Mandhana’s first half-century in WPL cricket, and her timely knock provided RCB some much-needed impetus in their huge run-chase against the Delhi Capitals’ 194-run total.

Earlier in the tournament, the RCB skipper also bashed a quickfire 27-ball 43 to headline her team’s eight-wicket triumph against the Gujarat Giants Women in Bengaluru on February 27.
