Pakistan veteran and Quetta Gladiators wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed made his return to team’s PSL 2024 setup through a game against Karachi Kings on February 29. The 36-year-old had to leave the field during Quetta Gladiators’ previous match against Multan Sultan after he sustained a concussion.

As Ahmed was walking back into the field in his return game against Karachi Kings, the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman was spotted conversing with on-air commentators through a Spidercam at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Quetta Gladiators zealot and former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed made his return to the field after skipping his side’s away clash against Multan Sultans earlier this week.

As Sarfaraz was making his way to the field for Quetta Gladiators match against Karachi Kings, he was halted and engaged in a brief interaction with PSL 2024 commentator Pommie Mbangwa through the Spidercam.

Mbangwa asked about the cricketer’s health, mood of the camp and also asked him to describe Quetta Gladiators’ prospects for the match. Sarfaraz responded:

“Everything is good, everything is fine. Mood is very good and we are very happy. Hopefully we will win this match.”

As it happened, Karachi Kings lost three quick wickets inside just the first seven overs of the innings.

Quetta Gladiators’ overseas spinner Akeal Hosein struck in his opening over of the match by removing Kings captain Shan Masood. Usman Tariq, meanwhile, accounted for the wickets of Karachi Kings well-set top-order batters and overseas stars Tim Seifert and James Vince in a space of just six deliveries.
