Comedy of errors is nothing new on a cricket field, but when it happens during the battle between two of the fiercest rivals, it takes all the limelight in no time. Such a thing happened on Sunday during Bangladesh’s second Test match against Sri Lanka at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.

Ever since the iconic Nidahas Trophy, there have been plenty of controversial outcomes whenever Bangladesh face Sri Lanka in any part of the world. 

Things got heated here as well, and to bring more joy to the fans, Bangladeshi players, in which skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto was also involved, took the drop catches’ standards to new heights.

As Sri Lanka opted to bat and were on their way to take their side to a massive total, a big chance came when Khaled Ahmed was bowling to Prabath Jayasuriya during the 121st over of the innings. A thick outside edge came off the Sri Lankan’s bat, and not one but three Bangladesh players were seen juggling the ball before eventually dropping it.

Unsurprisingly, all Bangladesh players were seen as doomed while looking at the ball in frustration after the incident.
