Sanju Samson has been an enigma over the years, the man is highly rated across the cricketing world, but has been guilty of being inconsistent time and again. However, he is looking like a man on mission in the 2024 season, and in the game against GT, notched up his third fifty of the season, putting his ream RR right on top at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Samson walked out to bat at number 3 after Rajasthan Royals lost Yashasvi Jaiswal in the 5th over. Sanju started off cautiously but changed the gears seamlessly. The RR skipper got an able partner in the form of Riyan Parag and the duo stitched up a partnership of 130 runs for the third wicket.

Sanju got to his fifty on the final delivery of the 17th over with a lucky break as Rahul Tewatia at long on spilled an easy catch. The GT finisher slipped while running to his left and ended up falling badly as the ball went past him for a boundary.
