Rajasthan Royals' (RR) captain Sanju Samson is playing as a leader in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). Shutting his critics, the RR skipper has smashed his third half-century of the season against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Wednesday in Jaipur.

During his stylish knock, Samson counter-attacked GT speedster Spencer Johnson with streak of boundaries in one of his overs. 

During the 15th over of the first innings, the explosive batter 14 runs off Johnson, which included two boundaries and a maximum. He, calculatedly, edging the left-arm seamer for a boundary to third-man and then thrashed him through extra covers, before tonking a pull over long-on for a maximum.

Eventually, Samson remained unbeaten with his 38-ball 68*, including seven fours and two sixers. The RR captain was well-assisted by the find of the season, Riyan Parag, who just like Samson slammed his third season fifty and completed 250+ runs in IPL 2024.

At the end of the first innings, RR ended with 196-3 - courtesy Samson's 68 not out and Parag's 76 off 48 deliveries.
