Pakistan’s rising T20 star and Peshawar Zalmi opener Saim Ayub pulled out yet another one of his no-look scoops over deep fine leg, this time dispatching Islamabad United’s Tymal Mills out of the boundary for a 65-meter six.

Turning up for his side in match number 13 of the ongoing PSL 2024 season, the 21-year-old unleashed three boundaries and a couple of sixes, all within the first five overs of the innings to take them past the 50-run mark.

Saim Ayub shared a rapid 77-run opening stand with captain and opening partner Babar Azam from just 7.3 overs against Islamabad United. The Peshawar Zalmi youngster, who raced to 13-ball 24* by the conclusion of the fourth over, shuffled across his stumps to dispatch Islamabad United’s overseas speedster Tymal Mills for his trademark no-look scoop over deep fine leg.

The ball soared past the boundary line for a 65-meter maximum, before he and Babar Azam took out 20 runs from the over to race to 65-0 by the end of the opening powerplay.

Saim Ayub ended up tonking 38 runs from just 21 balls before he was cleaned up by Islamabad United spinner Agha Salman.

His untimely dismissal against the run of play allowed the United bowlers to crawl back into the contest, with captain Shadab Khan striking twice in a space of four balls to reduce Peshawar Zalmi from 77-0 to 80-3.
