[Watch] Rossouw Hits His Pad With Bat In Anger As Shardul Thakur Cleans Him Up

The 49th match of IPL 2024 between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings saw Rilee Rossouw get his first substantial score of the season. He scored 43 off 23 balls and was looking all set for his first fifty before he threw it away with a rash shot on the full toss against Shardul Thakur.

Naturally, Rossouw was frustrated after the wicket and reacted with a loud cry in anger and even hit his bat on the pad as he walked off the field. 

It was a nice friendly full toss on off, and was there to hit, Rossouw shuffled a bit initially and went for a big slog across the line. However, he got an inside edge and the ball knocked over the stumps to bring some respite to CSK camp.

Rossouw came out to bat at number 3 with Punjab losing its first wicket in the fourth over and counter-attacked straightaway. He hit five fours and two sixes in his knock and never let CSK build any pressure and by the time he lost his wicket, the equation was down to almost run-a-ball. 

Earlier, CSK scored 162 in the first innings with captain Ruturaj Gaikwad leading from the front again with a well-compiled 62. However, with dew coming in later, batting got easy and Punjab batters managed to chase down the target comfortably.
