MS Dhoni and his charisma has caught the imagination of cricketing world over the years, and with the man most likely into his final IPL season, the excitement around him has gone at a level never seen before. The same was seen when MS Dhoni walked out to bat against Punjab Kings in the final league game at Chepauk.

The former CSK skipper walked out to the middle in the 18th over after the wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad and as the whole Chepauk painted in yellow, erupted. The chants of 'Thala went wild as it has been the case for the most part of his illustrious career and every time Dhoni has been spotted by fans this season, the man has received hero's welcome.

MSD scored 14 off 11 balls with one six and a four in his knock and lost his wicket on the final ball of the innings. It was the first time in IPL 2024 that he did not stay unbeaten and CSK fans would be hoping that their beloved 'Thala' comes back to Chepauk again this season by qualifying for the all-important playoffs.
