Rovman Powell was bought for 7.4 Crore by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2024 Auctions for his insane power-hitting and in the game when his team needed it the most, Powell came up with a momentum-shifting cameo of 26 off 13 balls.

At the end of 17th over, Rajasthan Royals needed 79 off 30 balls and it was important for RR to get a big over at that time. Russell was the bowler, so it was naturally tough for RR, but Powell blasted the first ball for the six and then on the fifth ball, Buttler opened his arms to send another one over the fence.

That over went for 17 runs and in the next over, Powell took apart Narine before the mystery spinner got his revenge with the wicket on the 5th ball of the over. The momentum was shifted till then though and Buttler continued his onslaught as he took RR over the line in the final over with his stunning 107 off 60 balls.

He hit 6 sixes and 9 fours in his knock and RR consolidated their top position with a nerve-wrecking win against the second-ranked KKR.
