Karachi Kings skipper Shan Masood held on to a skier to dismiss Lahore Qalandars' blistering opener, Fakhar Zaman, in match number 10 of the ongoing PSL 2024 season. Fakhar's dismissal occurred in the first ball of the third over of the innings, with new-ball and in-form speedster Mir Hamza giving his side their first breakthrough of the match.

In just the third over of the Lahore Qalandars innings, at a time when Fakhar Zaman was batting at 6*, the dashing opening batsman stepped out of his crease and launched Karachi Kings' fast bowler Mir Hamza high up into the night sky.

As it turned out, Fakhar ended up mistiming the ball, thus allowing Kings' captain Shan Masood to cover up good ground and hold on to a skier between long-on and mid-wicket region.

Fakhar Zaman, who holds a staggering T20 strike rate of nearly 135, eventually made his way back to the sheds with a nine-ball 6 to his name.

Mir Hamza, meanwhile, landed his first wicket of the match to provide his side with yet another clinical start this PSL 2024 season. A couple of days ago at the same Lahore venue, Hamza snared three Peshawar Zalmi wickets and was adjudged as 'Player of the Match' after Karachi Kings' seven-wicket win.

Under Shan Masood's leadership, the Karachi Kings unit has registered a win and a defeat from their two games so far in the tournament.
