Kieron Pollard, who missed out on the Karachi Kings’ previous PSL 2024 fixture against Quetta Gladiators due to Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding, came back to his vintage best on Thursday (March 7) during Match 24 of the ongoing edition against Islamabad United.
While playing the 13th over of Karachi’s innings, Pollard had an opportunity to slam hard against Islamabad skipper Shadab Khan. And the big West Indian delivered, as Shadab was dispatched for two big sixes. In particular, the manner in which Pollard hit the all-rounder nonchalantly on the last ball of that over suggested that he is not done yet.
It was a full delivery by Shadab and there was not so much speed in it. And that was right on Pollard’s arc, and he did not miss out on the opportunity to launch it into orbit. The ball sailed over the wide long-off for a massive six, taking Pollard’s score to 31* off 16 balls.

As of writing, Pollard is still going strong, having scored 39* off 27 balls with the help of three sixes and as many fours. Karachi, meanwhile, have reached 124/5 at the end of 17 overs.
