In a remarkable achievement, Yashasvi Jaiswal surpassed legend Sachin Tendulkar's most sixes in Test format against a particular opponent record by unleashing a fearless onslaught against England in Dharamsala.

Day 1 of the Dharamsala Test belonged to India after Kuldeep Yadav and Ashwin bamboozled English batters. While the visitors formed a big partnership in the first session, the leg spinner wreaked havoc with his impeccable executions. Before the end of the day's play, Kuldeep walked out with a fifer, and Ashwin got rid of the tail to claim four wickets in his 100th Test.

After England were bowled out for 218 runs, Indian formidable opening pair, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal walked out to advance into the game. Both batters showed aggressive intent from ball one and it was only a matter of time before Jaiswal exploded.

He took on Shoaib Bashir to hit three thumping sixes in a single over and, in the process, surpassed former legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's prestigious milestone.

With those three sixes off Bashir, Yashasvi Jaiswal's total sixes tally against England soared to 26. That is the most by an Indian player in the red ball format against any opposition.

The record was previously held by legend of Indian cricket Sachin Tendulkar. He hit 25 sixes against Australia in Test cricket during his 20-years-long professional career.

Interestingly, the ongoing five-game series is Yashasvi Jaiswal's first matchup against England. The 22-year-old kid just recently stepped into the ranks of international cricket. And within a few months, he is already regarded as the next big thing in the Test format.

That being said, the England series heroics are just a stepping stone in Jaiswal's career. He has a whole career lying ahead of himself and certainly has the tools to leave an extraordinary mark in Indian cricketing history.
