Yashasvi Jaiswal played a knock to remember on Monday during Match 38 of IPL 2024 between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. The highlight of his scintillating century was the way the Southpaw, who was in torrid form until tonight, smashed Jasprit Bumrah out of the park effortlessly.

It was the first ball of the 15th over when Bumrah, arguably the best fast bowler across formats at present, bowled a free hit to Jaiswal. The RR opener picked up the slower-length ball towards the leg stump and dispatched it nonchalantly into the crowds of Jaiswal.

It got the distance as well, as the ball landed over deep square leg for an 86-metre six.

Riding on Jaiswal's unbeaten 60-ball 104, Rajasthan chased a 180-run target with nine wickets and eight balls to spare. Sanju Samson remained unbeaten from other end, scoring 38* off 28 balls, while Jos Buttler made 35 off 25 balls to set the platform.

Meanwhile, RR strengthened their place at the top of the points table with the win, while Hardik Pandya's MI remained on seventh, with three victories and five defeats.
