In a gripping encounter between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, the game took a dramatic turn as Harshal Patel, the prolific bowler, delivered a stunning bouncer to dismiss David Warner for 29 runs from 21 balls.

Initially, it seemed Warner and his opening partner Mitchell Marsh were set for a fruitful partnership. However, in the 8th over, the momentum shifted when Warner fell victim to Patel's delivery. The ball, pitched short of a length, slower in pace, and angling across, tempted Warner into a pull shot.

Unfortunately for Warner, the ball took an unexpected bounce and lacked the pace he anticipated, resulting in a top edge. The wicketkeeper dived forward to take a fine catch, prompting a confident appeal from PBKS.

Despite initial denial from the umpire, PBKS decided to review the decision. Ultra Edge confirmed a spike as the ball passed the bat, leading to the reversal of the umpire's decision and Warner's departure. His dismissal marked a significant breakthrough for PBKS, as Warner had been in sublime touch.

Earlier in the match, Arshdeep Singh had dismissed Marsh, providing PBKS with an early breakthrough in the powerplay. Marsh, who had looked promising with a score of 20, failed to capitalize on his start.

With Warner and Marsh back in the pavilion, DC found themselves in a slightly precarious position at 87/2 in 10 overs.
