Hardik Pandya received a grand welcome from the fans across the Wankhede Stadium when he came to bat for Mumbai Indians against Chennai Super Kings in Match 28 of IPL 2024. However, he failed to make much impact with the willow, scoring just two off 6 balls before losing his wicket to Tushar Deshpande.

It was a shoulder-high bouncer from Deshpande, who came to bowl the 16th over of MI’s innings. Hardik, chasing a huge target of 207, tried to clear deep mid-wicket with a lofted drive. However, it was a well-planned trap by the MS Dhoni-starred side, as that was the longer part of the field.
