Mumbai Indians (MI) are losing the plot in the 207-run chase as Rohit Sharma is losing partner after partner. Romario Shepherd, who won the game against Delhi with his deadly hitting, failed to put on a show at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.

Chennai's best bowler of the evening, Matheesha Pathirana, bowled a 149.3 clicks snaring yorker on the middle and leg-stump, which came into the right-handed Carribean all-rounder, who ended up missing on the woods.

Shepherd ended up as Pathirana's fourth and last wicket of the evening as he summed up his spell with 4/28. He efforts included the wickets of Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav at duck and Hardik Pandya. 

From the MI camp, Rohit Sharma was the lone warrior in the long chase of 207 runs as he slammed his second century in the league, breaking his 12-year-old draught of not hitting an IPL ton.

Rohit remained unbeaten at 105 off 63 balls as MI could only get to 186-6 after 20 overs. Eventually, CSK won the game by 20 runs.
