Fakhar Zaman, the dynamic Pakistan opener has encountered his third failure in a row against Afghans as he departed for 27 off 33 balls in the final ODI against Afghanistan at Colombo. Fakhar scored just 2 runs in the first ODI and managed 30 in the second, but has failed to get a good score in the series.

Gulbadin Naib was the one who got rid of him in the third ODI in his comeback game after Zaman and Imam were looking solid in their 36-run opening stand. Fakhar Zaman, especially played some delightful shot but went for an over-ambitious pride in the final ball of the 9th over and paid a heavy price.

Fakhar Zaman's Poor Shot

Talking about the ball, Naib bowled it from 'round the wicket and bowled it on a length, around off. Fakhar Zaman charged down the track, made room and went for a big slog. However, he could only manage a big top edge as the ball went high in the air left of the point fielder. Riaz Hassan at point moved to his right, kept his eyes on the ball and grabbed a fantastic catch to end Fakhar's brisk knock.

Gulbadin Naib eventually got the wicket of Imam-ul-Haq as well and at the time of writing, Pakistan are 73-2 at the end of 21 overs. Babar is batting on 18 and Rizwan is batting on 12 as Pakistan look to build their innings towards a big score.
