Out-of-favour Indian batter Karun Nair grabbed the headlines with his incredible fielding effort during the County Championship 2024.

Representing Northamptonshire, Nair showcased his exceptional fielding skills by grabbing a spectacular catch, leading to the dismissal of Glamorgan's experienced batter, Colin Ingram, in the ongoing contest between the two sides.

The incident occurred during the 63rd over of Glamorgan's innings when Ingram and Mason Crane were battling it in the middle.

Northants' skipper Luke Procter brought Ben Sanderson into the attack to break the consolidating stand. It worked wonders for them, with the right-arm pacer getting Ingram, thanks to Nair's magnificent catch.

Coming around the stumps, Sanderson bowled a full-length delivery, which moved slightly away from the batter after pitching around the fifth stump line. Ingram couldn't leave the ball as he was already committed for a defensive shot.

However, he edged it in this process, with the ball flying towards the first slip. Nair, stationed slightly wider than the first slip, Nair dived towards his right and held on to an incredible low catch.

The Karnataka batter has blown hot and cold with the bat in the tournament, managing 101 runs at a modest average of 33.66. So, considering his reputation in the Indian domestic circuit, we expect the seasoned campaigner to bring out his A-game in this clash.
