In the ongoing Ranji Semifinal between Tamil Nadu and Mumbai, Shardul Thakur sent TN's ace batter Sai Sudharsan for a four-ball duck. The Tamil Nadu team seems to have been under the pump as they haven't been able to capitalise while batting first in the contest. 

Shardul Thakur, who is back with the Chennai Super Kings for the upcoming IPL season, has been one of the key players for the Mumbai team in the tournament so far. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans' batter, Sai Sudharsan, who recently made his India debut, was called in for this Ranji semifinal but has not been able to help the team. 

In the very first over of the game, Shardul bowled an impressive inswinging delivery that caught Sudharsan on the front pad, and the umpire signalled out. Even though Sai went to the third umpire, it was nothing short of a plumb dismissal.

CSK's Shardul Thakur gave Mumbai a perfect start in this semifinal and would be the foremost bowler for the CSK in the upcoming season, just like in old times.

However, Sai Sudharsan, who hammered 96 in the IPL 2023 final against CSK, will play a crucial role in Gujarat's set-up, considering Hardik Pandya will not be there from now on.

Undoubtedly, we will be able to witness this match-up yet again, when last year's finalists will take on each other in one of the greatest T20 leagues.

With not a huge total in the first innings, Tamil Nadu will look to hit back with their bowling when Mumbai comes out to bat in the ongoing game.
