A few days back, there were rumours about Yuvraj Singh making his debut in Politics ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Now, Yuvraj Singh finally clears the air, which proves that the rumours were not true and he will not be contesting in the upcoming elections.

The 2011 World Cup winner has been one of the most influential personalities in India with his foundation  'YouWeCan', which is nothing but his way of contributing to society. The rumours about Yuvraj making his political debut have been shut down by the man himself.

Yuvraj Shuts down politics rumours

Yuvi cleared that he will not be contesting in elections, not for BJP, not for any party, but he will continue to contribute towards society with his foundation, with a tweet on X.

"Contrary to media reports, I'm not contesting elections from Gurdaspur. My passion lies in supporting and helping people in various capacities, and I will continue to do so through my foundation @YOUWECAN. Let's continue making a difference together to the best of our abilities."

Yuvraj Singh clearly denied that he will not be contesting in the elections via X and also urged people keep contributing to society in their capacities to make a difference.

The political arena already has cricketers like Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh, being the members of BJP and AAP respectively. Yuvraj's recent meeting with Nitin Gadkari, who is the honourable Union Minister of India, made his fans curious about whether he will be entering into politics or not.

Yuvraj Singh will be back on the field in the Legends Cricket Trophy along with Harbhajan Singh starting on the 8th of March.
