Riding on Ravichandran Ashwin's exceptional spell, India have pushed England to the verge of defeat in the ongoing Test match at HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. 

After rattling England's top order, Ashwin came back to scalp the crucial wicket of Ben Stokes just before lunch on day 3. 

The incident occurred in the 23rd over when India brought Ashwin back to bowl the final over before the lunch break. The move worked wonders for the hosts, as the spin maestro castled English captain Ben Stokes with a beauty. 

It was a good-length delivery that came back sharply into Stokes after pitching around the fifth stump. Although the batter went for a forward defensive shot, the ball managed to sneak through the gap between his bat and pad, hitting the timber in the process. 

Thus, Stokes, who has had a horrendous series with the bat, continued his poor run, finishing the tour with only 199 runs across ten innings at a mediocre average of 19.9. 

His struggles significantly jolted England, as they currently stare at another humiliating defeat in the Dharamsala Test, placed at 103 for five, trailing India's first innings total by 156 runs.
