Indian left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh had a brilliant start to his County Championship stint for Kent on Monday as he claimed his maiden wicket in the ongoing Division 01 fixture against Surrey.

Singh, who started by bowling three maidens in a row, proceeded to trap English wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Foakes plumb in front with a delivery that jagged back into the right-hander.

Arshdeep went up straight away, so did the umpire's finger, and it was followed by a fist pump from the talented left-arm pacer from Punjab. His figures so far read: 11-4-17-1

Watch the dismissal here:

Meanwhile, the dismissal of Foakes meant that Surrey were reduced to 5/42 in reply to Kent's total of 301.

It became worse for Surrey as 5/42 soon became 6/42, with Matthew Quinn getting rid of Jamie Smith.

At the time of writing, Surrey were reeling at 98/7, with Jordan Clark and Sean Abbott still at the crease.

Earlier, Kent rode on brilliant knocks from Jordan Cox (133), Joey Evison (58) and Wes Agar (51) to post 301/10, after they had been reduced to 41/5.
