Chasing a slightly tricky 184 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the Rajasthan Royals (RR) needed a quick-fire start. However, the plan was put to rest when Yashasvi Jaiswal departed for a 2-ball duck.

His torrid IPL 2024 continued as RCB bowlers were on top in the early exchanges. The Pink army needed a gear shift and Jos Buttler provided just that. The England batter, who has failed to deliver the goods in the ongoing tournament, took a special liking towards RCB spinner Mayank Dagar and clobbered him for 20 runs to end the power-play on a high.

The spin bowling department has been a problem for RCB and Buttler made full use of that, taking on the spinner to rattle him. Some of the strokes that he played in the over mesmerised the fans and also pushed RCB and Faf du Plessis on the back-foot.

The momentum change was much needed as Sanju Samson, too, joined the party and derailed the RCB momentum.

Talking about the match, RCB posted 183, courtesy of a brilliant IPL hundred by none other than Virat Kohli. This hundred was also his 8th in the tournament's history.

At the time of writing, RR are well within the course to achieve the target. They are 100 for 1, with two of their most experienced players at the crease, playing some staggering strokes to punish the RCB bowlers.
