Pat Cummins led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) showcased a remarkable display of power-hitting in the ongoing IPL 2024 season, reaching the milestone of hitting 100 sixes in just 8 games. 

SRH have set the bar way too high this IPL 2024 season when it comes to offense. 200 runs total is the new norm for them as their batters have somehow found the form of their life.

After logging the highest ever team total in IPL’s history against RCB earlier this month, SRH once again clashed with RCB earlier today at Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad. This time, RCB got to bat first, and Rajat Patidar’s onslaught helped the red team post 206 runs on board.

SRH achieve staggering new landmark

In the chase, while SRH lost Travis Head early, Abhishek Sharma continued to show aggressive intent from one end. He smashed a six off Will Jacks’ back of length delivery to unlock 100 sixes milestone for SRH.

SRH now has hit 100 sixes in just 8 games of the ongoing IPL 2024 season. Out of these, Heinrich Klaasen accounted for 25 sixes whereas Abhishek Sharma contributed with 24 maximums.

It’s no small feat for SRH who have been extraordinary with the bat this season. The aggressive batting approach adopted by SRH has not only entertained the fans but has also put opposing bowlers under immense pressure.

While the achievement of reaching 100 sixes in just 8 games is commendable, SRH will have to build on this momentum and continue its aggressive approach in the remaining matches of the IPL 2024 season.

Coming back to the RCB game, SRH is in deep trouble after losing 5 early wickets in a 207-run chase.
