KL Rahul, the skipper of Lucknow Super Giants has won an important toss against CSK and has decided to bowl first. LSG are playing at home and they would be looking to arrest their downward slide and notch up an important win against a quality team like Chennai Super Kings.

LSG have also dropped Shamar Joseph after just one game and have brought in Matt Henry in his place. Chennai Super Kings too have made two big changes with Moeen Ali in for Daryl Mitchell and Deepak Chahar back in place of Shardul Thakur.

Here are the playing XIs of both the sides -

Chennai Super Kings: Ruturaj Gaikwad (c), Rachin Ravindra, Ajinkya Rahane, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (wk), Deepak Chahar, Tushar Deshpande, Mustafizur Rahman, Matheesha Pathirana

Lucknow Super Giants: Quinton de Kock, Lokesh Rahul (c), Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Nicholas Pooran (vc), Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Matt Henry, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, Yash Ravisingh Thakur

Impact Substitutes:

Chennai Super Kings: Shaik Rasheed, Mitchell Santner, Nishant Sandhu, Shardul Thakur, Sameer Rizvi

Lucknow Super Giants: Yudhvir Singh Charak, Krishnappa Gowtham, Arshin Kulkarni, Manimaran Siddharth, Arshad Khan

LSG deciding to chase after winning the toss also is a bit of a surprise as they have done well while defending, and the Ekana has the tendency to assist the team bowling second. Also, CSK are playing an extra spinner in this game, and with LSG boasting of plenty of left-handers, the Englishman's off-break can be handy.

Deepak Chahar's inclusion is also a positive sign for CSK while it would be interesting to see how Matt Henry goes about his business on his LSG debut. It promises to be a cracking encounter with home team in a desperate need of a win while the visitors are on a roll, and would be looking to take the momentum forward.
