As the IPL 2024 has reached the midway mark, there have been plenty of popular names who have set the stage on fire. To name a few, Virat Kohli, Jos Buttler, and Rohit Sharma have already made some significant impacts this season, turning the competition into a fascinating one for the viewers yet again.

On the other hand, Punjab Kings’ star opener Jonny Bairstow had a miserable IPL 2024 campaign with the bat. As a result, the aggressive batter has been dropped from the playing XI, giving Rilee Rossouw an opportunity at the top.

In a recent conversation with ESPNCricnfo, Bairstow was asked who the top three T20 batters are at this point. Bairstow did not mention the names of Rohit and Kohli and even took time to name his country’s limited-overs captain, Jos Buttler, as his third choice.

Heinrich Klaasen and Suryakumar Yadav are Bairstow’s top two choices, which at present, can’t be argued to be fair.

Notably, Virat Kohli is the leading run-getter in IPL 2024, with 361 runs across seven matches. Rohit is third on the chart, having aggregated 297 runs in the same number of matches, while Buttler is eighth after tallying 250 runs in six games.
