Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans will go up against each other on Wednesday (April 24) in Match 40 of IPL 2024 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. This will be the second match at this venue this season, with Sunrisers Hyderabad registering a 67-run win against Rishabh Pant And Co. prior to this fixture.
With three wins and five defeats, Delhi are placed eighth on the points table. Shubman Gill's Gujarat, on the other hand, are sixth, having won four matches and lost as many.

Delhi began IPL 2024 with two losses on the trot before winning their first match of the season against Chennai Super Kings. Then they suffered consecutive defeats again, versus Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians respectively.
Pant’s side came back yet again, winning by six wickets against Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans before losing their ploy against SRH. Needless to say, they are one of the most inconsistent franchises in the ongoing edition with both bat and ball.
Delhi’s biggest worry of the season is the form of David Warner, who has only tallied 167 runs across seven matches thus far. In addition, Anrich Nortje, the leading fast bowler of the unit, is having a disastrous campaign with the ball in hand, costing them heavily in almost every match in the competition.
Gujarat Titans
Gujarat, on the other hand, do not look the same side as they used to dominate under Hardik Pandya's leadership. They have also been blowing hot and cold, with Gill, in particular, not performing consistently as he used to do.
Unlike past seasons, Gujarat have yet to decide who should be their settled foreigners. They gave a few chances to Azmatullah Omarzai and Spencer Johnson, along with David Miller, Rashid Khan, and Noor Ahmad, but none of them managed to contribute with significant impact.
Even Kane Willaimson did not retain his place in the playing XI after coming in when Miller was injured. Hence, it will be interesting to see how they will line up against Delhi.
