The popularity of MS Dhoni seems to know little-to-no bounds. Even though the cricketer announced his Team India retirement back in 2020, his name continues to reverberate across the hallowed arenas of annual Indian Premier League (IPL) events.

During the ongoing IPL 2024 season, the sound levels generated by roaring crowds and MS Dhoni enthusiasts has peaked up to 95 decibels, as confirmed by Quinton de Kock’s wife Sasha de Kock during Lucknow versus Chennai affair on April 19.

Despite MS Dhoni’s unparalleled popularity with the masses, it appears that not everyone seems to be aware about the full form of the cricketer’s name initials.

In a hilarious video trending on social media, a clueless fangirl can be seen getting teased by her friends for not being familiar with MS Dhoni’s first name.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, or MS Dhoni as the masses often call him, is a prominent cricketing figure the world over for his decorated record for the Indian team during his playing days.

While the 42-year-old is currently plying his trade for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise in the ongoing IPL 2024 season, a hilarious video of a particular fangirl is making rounds on social media, where she can be seen teased by her friends for not knowing the full form of ‘MS’ behind the name MS Dhoni.

Upon being given a number of guesses, the fangirl in question eventually came to a conclusion that Dhoni’s full name is ‘Mahesh Selvararaghavan Dhoni’. She went on to say isn't the cricketer based out of Chennai.

On the cricketing front, MS Dhoni has so far bashed 91 runs this IPL 2024 season at a staggering strike-rate of 260.

Some of his latest batting ventures included his four-ball 20* against Mumbai Indians, a nine-ball 28* against LSG, and another unbeaten four against the same opponents.

The legendary wicketkeeper-batter, who relinquished his CSK captaincy prior to IPL 2024 in favor of rising star Ruturaj Gaikwad, will now be seen reprising his role for the franchise with a match against SRH on April 28.

The much-awaited contest will be staged at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium.
