Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Shubman Gill caught up with Gujarat Giants' (GG) star Harleen Deol during a training session at Bengaluru on May 3. 

As the dashing opening batter preps himself to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Match 52 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, he was spotted giving some valuable batting inputs to the women’s cricketer.


Gill gives batting tips to Harleen Deol while training

Harleen Deol, who recently represented the Gujarat franchise in Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024, was ruled out halfway into the tournament owing to a knee injury. On May 3, she attended Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and caught up with Gujarat Titans skipper and dashing Indian opening batter Shubman Gill.

During their interaction, Gill was spotted giving some valuable batting tips to a visibly keen Harleen. The GT franchise even shared an excerpt of their interaction through social media.

Shubman Gill will soon be seen leading his Gujarat Titans troops in their away IPL 2024 match against hosts Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The much-awaited contest will be staged at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 4.

Under the leadership of Shubman Gill, the Gujarat Titans franchise has managed to secure just four wins amidst six defeats from its first 10 league fixtures of the IPL 2024 season. 

Currently placed at number eight on the 10-team IPL 2024 points table, a win over RCB at this stage of the tournament will help the Titans climb up the ladder.

Harleen Deol, on the other hand, sustained a nasty knee injury during the recently-concluded WPL 2024 season. She was subsequently ruled out of the rest of the tournament, and was also overlooked for India Women’s T20I trip to Bangladesh.
