‘Babysitter’ Rishabh Pant lived up to his moniker by cheerfully mingling with the children of Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting. On April 19, i.e., a day prior to Delhi Capitals’ home IPL 2024 clash against SRH, the dashing wicketkeeper-batsman was spotted interacting with the kids inside the team hotel, and the footage of their rendezvous was shared via social media platforms of the franchise.

Rishabh Pant, who was sportingly nicknamed the ‘Babysitter’ after Tim Paine’s fiery sledge in early 2021, lived up to his moniker by mingling with the children of Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting.

While the Delhi Capitals franchise shared the video of their interaction through social media on April 19, they also inscribed the footage with a popular ‘Bharat Army’ chant in favor of the dashing wicketkeeper-batsman.

Rishabh Pant recently made his return to competitive cricket through IPL 2024 after a gap of nearly 15 months. The cricketer was involved in a near-fatal car accident back in December 2022, which subsequently ruled him out of action for a while owing to injuries.

Pant has already listed two dazzling half-centuries this IPL 2024 season, and was adjudged as ‘Player of the Match’ for his 16* against Gujarat Titans in a low-scoring thriller earlier this week.

Under his leadership, the Delhi Capitals franchise has secured three wins from seven fixtures to be placed at number six on the 10-team IPL 2024 points table. As of now, they are gearing up to face a high-flying SRH unit in match number 35 of the competition, set to be staged on April 20 at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.
