In a motivational and emotional speech after India's 4-1 Test series win over England, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma congratulated the crew, with the former acknowledging the significance and satisfaction of dominance in Test cricket.
In a five-game long Test series against the mighty England cricket team, the Indian side led by captain Rohit Sharma emerged victorious with 4-1. Despite losing the series opener in Hyderabad, the hosts roared back to outclass the opposition in the remainder of the series.
With a final win in Dharamsala, India lifted the trophy, and happy faces were witnessed inside the Indian Dressing room.
That being said, before the unit departed after spending a month together in the five-game series, head coach Rahul Dravid took an opportunity to congratulate the team on achieving excellence.
Dravid stated that Test cricket is a tough format and that a series win like this has to be duly earned. But he is proud of the way the boys stepped up against adversities to put on a brave face.
Dravid further added that winning and losing are parts of the game, but the lessons will help the players thrive and improve in the future.
He also added how cricketers always thrive on each other's success and urged all the seniors as well as youngsters to carry everybody along.
After Dravid concluded the speech by thanking the support staff for its unwavering backing, captain Rohit Sharma shared a few words.
Rohit thanked his side for getting their act together against challenges and affirmed that this series victory wouldn't have been possible without the winning mindset. The captain concluded by saying he was happy with the team's response under pressure and the collective efforts.
