Following Virat Kohli's controversial dismissal off Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) Harshit Rana's bowling on Sunday afternoon where Royal Challengers Bengaluru fell short by a solitary run at the end of the game, several contrasting viewpoints aired and Kohli acknowledged one from Mohammad Kaif who expressed his disappointment with the umpiring by liking his Instagram post.

The incident occurred in the first ball of the third over during RCB's run chase where the batting camp was evidently unhappy and furious with the ball not being given a no-ball. Similarly, Kaif went on to post an Instagram post where he called it a "Clear unplayable beamer."

The former cricketer also called out the inconsistency in umpiring amidst having all the resources and mentioned another incident from the same evening where a ball going just MS Dhoni's bat was called wide saying "Cameras, replays, technology but still such mistakes being made. Poor umpiring."

The RCB opener seemed to be on the same page as the ex-RR player as he stamped his approval on the opinion by liking the mentioned post.

The debatable decision, potentially also played a role in deciding the outcome of the game. Kohli, at the point of getting out, was cruising at 18 from 6 and must've thought of carrying the bat after finishing the match.

RCB play Sunrisers Hyderabad in their next game on 25th in Hyderabad.
