Royal Challengers Bengaluru, as a part of their annual 'Go Green' initiative, will be donning their green kit against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, April 21 afternoon at the historic Eden Gardens of Kolkata.

RCB, in their recent social media posts, announced that they will be continuing their tradition of wearing green kits once a season in an afternoon game. They started this initiative in 2011 and continued it ever since.

As a part of this 'Go Green'  initiative, they wear these kits and also gift a sapling to the opposition captain at the toss. Through this campaign, they promise to plant trees and encourage others to own and raise awareness regarding eco-friendly habits to protect the environment by adopting sustainable habits.

In 2021, they wore a sky blue kit in a game to pay tribute to the frontline workers for their contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the 13 years of this initiative, the Bengaluru franchise has only won three times when they wore this green or blue kit. So, in the post, the admin has tweeted that the "hope"  for this change to also change their fortunes.

KKR, who sit 2nd on the points table with 4 wins in 7 games will be hosting RCB, who are looking for their second win of the season at the Eden Gardens on Sunday, April 21 at 15.30 hrs (IST).
