In a milestone game where Mumbai Indians clinched their 150th win in T20, Jasprit Bumrah, arguably their greatest bowler, achieved 150 wickets in IPL for the team. He becomes the first Indian to reach this milestone for a single IPL franchise. Previously, Lasith Malinga accomplished this feat for Mumbai Indians, while Sunil Narine achieved it for KKR.

In their first win this season, Mumbai Indians defeated DC by 29 runs at Wankhede. Despite losing three consecutive games, MI secured victory thanks to a strong start from Rohit Sharma and a finishing flourish from Romario Shepherd. However, the real difference-maker was Jasprit Bumrah.

Batting first, MI posted a formidable total of 234/5. Shepherd's explosive 32-run over in the 20th over shifted the game entirely in Mumbai's favor. Nevertheless, Delhi put up a valiant effort, especially with excellent performances from Prithvi Shaw and Tristan Stubbs, who almost chased down the target but ultimately fell short by 29 runs.

He took the wicket of Prithvi Shaw, who was threatening to take the game away from the MI team. Bumrah then dismissed Abhishek Porel as well who was settling in.
