The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) registered their third win in succession this IPL 2024 season, this time upstaging Gujarat Titans in match number 21 of the tournament on April 7.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, LSG conjured 163 runs upfront off the back of a splendid half-century from Marcus Stoinis and enterprising cameos from Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni.

In response, 130 was all Gujarat Titans could manage to slump to their third defeat of the season.

Shrugging 54 runs off their target on their own, Sudharsan pounded a fluent 23-ball 31 at the top while captain Gill scored a near run-a-ball 19.

Fortunately for the hosts, Yash Thakur removed Shubman at the brink of the powerplay to hand his team their first breakthrough of the innings.
