In a major development, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have roped in pacer Arpit Guleria to replace the injured Mayank Yadav for the remainder of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Guleria will join the LSG squad ahead of their match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), which takes place today at the Ekana Cricket Stadium.
The franchise has not revealed the nature of Yadav's injury. Delhi-born Yadav has played one FC, seven List-A, and six T20 matches in his short career, scalping 25 wickets combined.
LSG have brought uncapped Guleria for his base price of INR 20 lakhs. The 25-year-old debuted for Himachal Pradesh in 2018 but moved to Services soon after.
He has played 15 First-Class and 12 List-A matches, picking up 44 and 11 wickets, respectively.
KL Rahul-led LSG are currently sitting second in the points table with six points, just behind leaders Rajasthan Royals, who have a superior net run rate.

Both teams have clashed only once in the IPL, where LSG came out as winners, defeating PBKS by 20 runs.
