India vs Pakistan Test likely to happen in Australia after T20 World Cup

India and Pakistan are involved in a discussion after the high-octane clash in the T20 World Cup 2022.  It has been 15 years since the two nations have played against each other outside of an ICC mega event. The talks are that India and Pakistan may face each other in a Test match on Australian soil.

Former Australian cricketer Simon O'Donnell has expressed the possibility of the same. 

"Their T20 World Cup clash was extraordinary, that game itself is the one that's held the tournament up so far, people keep referring back to it. There was 90,000 at a neutral venue, there was extraordinary emotion, the scenes of the game, the tightness of the game, the pressure."

"It was magnificent sort of stuff, to the level that I can say there will be discussions being had, or there are discussions being had to play a Test match here. There's also the possibility of a triangular One-Day series between India, Pakistan and Australia or a Test match between India and Pakistan."

"There are already discussions taking place."

When talking about the World Cup, Pakistan are hanging on by a thread in the tournament and their chances of making it in the semi-finals are very slim. Meanwhile, India has only just faced its first loss in the tournament at the hands of South Africa.
