In a massive setback for Lahore Qalandars, ace pacer Haris Rauf has been ruled out of the ongoing Pakistan Super League season due to a shoulder injury.

Notably, Rauf dislocated his shoulder while taking a spectacular catch during Lahore's group-stage clash against Karachi Kings on Saturday. The injury will keep him out of action for a significant period of time.

Hailed for his ability to operate at a searing pace, Rauf has had a torrid time with the ball since the ICC World Cup in India.

The pacer, who refused to tour with the national Test squad for the Australia away series, saw himself out of PCB’s central contract. In such a scenario, his ouster from the lucrative league is a massive blow to the right-arm speedster.

Bowling alongside Shaheen Afridi and Zaman Khan, Rauf looked off colour in the PSL 2024, managing only two wickets in four outings. His economy rate read a whopping 9.42, not helping his team’s cause.

Regarding Lahore Qalandars, the Shaheen Afridi-led side has lost four consecutive matches to find themselves at the bottom of the points table. They will face Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi in match 12 of the competition this evening.
