Another Casualty From PCB! Mohammad Hafeez's Payments Remain Outstanding

According to recent reports, Mohammad Hafeez, who was appointed as the Director of the Pakistan men's national team after a substandard World Cup, has not been paid his dues by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) even after a couple of months passed since the end of his tenure.

Hafeez was initially appointed as the director under Zaka Ashraf for a four-year tenure with the team. However, his stint as the director ended prematurely in just a couple of months as soon as Mohsin Naqvi took over the reins of PCB.

Pakistan men's team, under the leadership of Hafeez, could not really produce any big results in the two away series that they played in Australia and New Zealand, losing 0-3 in the Test series against the Aussies and 1-4 in the T20Is against the Kiwis.

The other notable change on the side was the appointment of new captains after Babar Azam stepped down. Shan Masood led them in the Tests while Shaheen was the leader of their pack in the shorter format.

While the Naqvi-led board is reportedly, about to appoint Gary Kirsten as the coach for the white-ball formats and Jason Gillespie for the Tests, the unpaid allowances of Hafeez from the two tours are still a matter to be dealt with.

The ex-opener was expected to turn the things around in Pakistan cricket as an administrator just like he did in his playing days, in 218 ODIs, 119 T20Is and 55 Tests scoring 12,780 runs alongside 253 wickets. However, the turbulence in the board didn't help him with the stability.
