Newport-born Warwickshire batter Adam Hose has decided to move to the Worcestershire County Club on a three-year contract effectively from the 2023 season. The 29-year-old, who moved to Birmingham-based club from Somerset in 2017 has again changed his allegiance in quest of reviving his red-ball career.

Hose, has who primarily played white-ball cricket in the last few years, is keen to eye a spot in the First-Class setup of his new county. However, he has proved his worth in the white ball, becoming the third-highest run-getter in the Blast this year, scoring 558 runs.

Hose's shift comes as a reciprocal move to Moeen Ali and Ed Barnard, who will play for the Warwickshire in the upcoming season.

What Hose has to say on his deal

"I'm looking forward to a new chapter in my career at Worcestershire and delighted to sign for the next three years and hopefully beyond,"

"I've got a fair amount of experience under my belt, but I’m only 29 and believe that my best years are ahead of me. Worcestershire have had a lot of success in recent times in white ball cricket, and I want to play my part in repeating that Vitality Blast success of 2018 and 2019.

"But Ed (Pollock) was given his chance to play more red-ball cricket after moving to Worcestershire from Warwickshire, and I’m hoping I can also earn that opportunity with my form and in training."

Hose should look to maximise this opportunity

Considering Worcestershire move might provide him ample opportunity, Hose should consider playing with complete freedom as he did in the Blast. Good consistent performances in the upcoming edition might bolster his chances for National call-up in future.
