In a highly anticipated clash, Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals in match 44 of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. 

Led by KL Rahul, the Super Giants have been impressive in the tournament, winning five of their eighth group-stage matches. On the other hand, the Royals have been magnificent in the tournament, securing the top spot in the points table with seven victories in eight outings. 

Regarding LSG, the Lucknow-based franchise is coming off a clinical six-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings. Chasing a steep 211-run target, the Super Giants went past the finish line in the final over, courtesy of Marcus Stoinis' blistering 63-ball 124. 

However, despite their recent exploits, LSG must be worried about Quinton de Kock's batting form. The swashbuckling keeper-batter has been off colour with the bat recently, managing only 89 runs in his last five IPL 2024 innings. 

So, considering his struggles with the bat, particularly at home, LSG might give De Kock a break, replacing him with explosive West Indies batter Kyle Mayers. 

The rest of their lineup is however expected to be the same, with Rahul forming the batting core alongside Stoinis and Pooran. Their bowling unit is also settled, studded with Yash Thakur, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan and Krunal Pandya.
