The Women's Premier League (WPL) marks a pivotal moment in the advancement of women's cricket, inspired by the resounding success of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for men's cricket. Drawing from the IPL's blueprint, the WPL aims to foster intense competition in the T20I format while showcasing the talents of female cricketers.

Much like its male counterpart, the IPL, the WPL is structured to feature star-studded lineups and provide a platform for both domestic and international players to shine. With the backing of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the WPL is poised to elevate the status of women's cricket and expand its popularity throughout India and beyond.

The WPL 2024 action is all set to begin on February 23,2024 (Friday) with reigning champions Mumbai Indians (MI) replaying  the final of 2023 against the Delhi Capitals at the M.Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru.
