In a blistering critique that has sent shockwaves through the corridors of Cricket Australia, David Warner’s wife, Candice Warner has unleashed a scathing indictment, charging the cricket governing body with allegedly sidelining her husband due to his non-conformist persona.

Speaking to Channel 10, Candice Warner laid bare her grievances, painting a picture of an administration seemingly at odds with individuals who dare to deviate from the traditional cricketing archetype.

Candice Warner's tirade didn't just stop at the administration's doorstep; it also highlighted a pattern of perceived bias and unfair treatment that, according to her, David Warner faced throughout his illustrious career.

She pointed out that while the current coaching staff has adopted a commendable approach, contrasting sharply with their predecessors, the underlying issue of administrative prejudice has been a recurring thorn in David's side.

“At times 100 per cent. But it’s not just them. It’s the administration. Look the current coaching staff are just, have been brilliant. Like they, a very different style of coaching and everything like that. But throughout his career the administration definitely, basically didn’t want him there. Because he’s different, he doesn’t typically fit the mould of a cricket player," said Candice.

According to Candice, the administration's reluctance to embrace David Warner stems from his distinctive approach and personality, which ostensibly clashes with their envisioned model of a cricketer. This, she argues, has led to a systematic effort to edge him out, a stance that she implies has not only affected David but also their family.

Furthermore, Candice Warner hinted at a litany of unnamed individuals who have, over the years, wronged them. However, she stopped short of naming names, choosing instead to let those responsible ponder their actions in silence.

“There’s been plenty of people that have burnt myself and David along the way and it happens to so many people, and it wouldn’t be right for me to name them individually, but those people know who they are," added the former ironwoman.

David Warner’s wife’s explosive comments have brought to light the inner workings of Cricket Australia, suggesting an environment that may not be as inclusive or as meritocratic as it professes to be.
